Previously he had been fitting kitchens for other kitchen companies. He was particularly impressed with innovative German kitchen manufacturer Leicht, so when he opened Oxford Kitchens, this was his first choice of kitchen supplier. After over forty years, it still is. Richard had previously worked at Harwell Laboratories from school and then briefly at the MG car factory prior to opening Oxford Kitchens.
At Oxford Kitchens and Bathrooms, we have been creating beautiful designer kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms and cloakrooms under the same management for over 40 years, making us one of the longest-established kitchen and bathroom suppliers in Oxfordshire. Our time in business has given us a wealth of practical and design experience.
Our 3,500 ft 2 showroom is equally divided into kitchens and bathrooms and is regularly updated so that we can show you up-to-the-minute products. All displays are designed in house, so reflect both our style and the products that we particularly believe in. You will find plenty of out-of-the-ordinary items here, with that extra twist of character, such as our Philippe Starck taps, worktops that charge your phone and Toto washlets. We even have a Corian-clad steam room. Our showroom is open Monday to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.

We shopped around in the greater Oxford area for new counter tops in granite, quartz, or corian, a new hob, and other items. The bid given at Oxford Kitchens was bang in the middle of the quotes we collected. Oxford Kitchens had fitted our kitchen a decade ago, so we decided to go with them again this time as the result of a happy outcome last time.
The team director is Richard Hardie who is passionate about standards of professionalism in the lines he sells, and he tolerates nothing less than excellence. Richard's superlative customer care made the difference each time. Contemporary customer care leaves much to be desired in many industries but Richard's clients are treated to a level of perfection we had thought long vanished.
The whole team provided us with a stellar experience from day one. If customer care matters to you; if you have learned from experience that the cheapest quote may not supply you with the standard you expect; if you want the peace of mind that your kitchen will be installed as perfectly as it can be, then I'd select Oxford Kitchens. Few competitors can rival them, few are cheaper, and few will support you as they do when things go wrong.
Other showrooms may be more glitzy, larger, try to impress you with their up-to-the-minute displays lodged in ornate settings, but you will pay for these. At Oxford Kitchens you will find substantial glamour and every bit as large a selection to choose from. If a six-star score were possible we would award it to Richard's team. George and John

Brilliant! I visited the Oxford Kitchens & Bathrooms showroom with a vague request for a "nice new wetroom". Richard listened, and soon provided me with CAD image and floorplan with his recommendations. A few tweaks were agreed upon. In May the excellent and trustworthy fitters (Gary, Dean) carried out the work. Result - my small wetroom as a five-star hotel feel, and actually feels bigger than before! Would highly recommend.
