The second at a business we have worked with for many years, Portman Stone, also based in Christchurch.

Furthermore, we guarantee that not only are our products handcrafted and finished here in the UK, but as many materials are locally sourced as possible and always under FSC (Forrestry Service Commission) guidelines and certified woods. We use the finest English & european Oak and other woods for our handmade cabinets and other bespoke kitchen furniture, plus our kitchen tops, when not wooden, are sourced from Portman Stone or otehr national companies.

Choosing to renovate or replace your kitchen is just the start of a wonderful journey to improving your home. Most, if not all, of our main product lines are customisable be it by size, shape or more commonly, materials used and finishes applied. With this in mind, we have produced individual pages on each of the choice sections:
1. Woods Available - Each element of each product comes in up to 3 different wood styles including oak, Hardwood and tulipwood. (We only list the costs of our 3 main options on our website Unpainted, Painted and Oak but if you want any other option please ask us)
2. Style Choices - We have a wide range of door styles, plinth styles, cornice styles, pilaster styles and glazing styles for you to choose from.
3. Hinges - Our range of hinges include soft close, roller catch, magnetic catch hinges as well as material/finish choices such as chromed, black and brass.
4. Painting - First up, you can choose between painted (hand or spray painted) , unpainted or oiled. We're happy to oil the furniture for you. If you choose for your products to be painted, please supply us with the paint code or name you wish us to use. Please note that all our pre painted products are tarnsported to you wrapped in removal blankets, whilst this does a great job of protecting them there will sometimes be cases where the paint needs touching up on site. This is nothing to worry about and is quite standard. We provide a touch up kit ready for such instances.

6. Sinks and Taps - Our catalogue includes a full range of tap and sink options designed to compliment your kitchen. Our sink tops are designed with several different sink types in mind.
7. Worktops - We can deliver a range of solid wood worksurfaces with your order and we have a partnership with national stone companies who can install quartz/granite worktops at great trade prices, contact us for a quote.

The thing that made us choose Classic Kitchens was what seemed to be their knowledge and honesty, initially I gave them a layout that I designed and they priced on this, this price was less than I had imagined so I was happy, I then asked if there was anything they would change and they made a few tweaks that not only made it a better space but also saved me around 5000. We bought a house that already had a kitchen from Classic Kitchens in which we loved, we then did an extension and wanted to carry on the same style of cabinetry into the new living space, Classic Kitchens made us TV cabinets, Drinks cabinets and a sideboard in the same style as the original kitchen and it just all now completes the whole room, we cant be happier.

We originally had a kitchen booked and deposit paid with another company who almost pressurized us with their long lead times into making a decision too early so not to "lose out on their sale prices - which I later find out seems to be every month!" when we were finally ready to place the order with them we wanted a few changes and were met with pretty unhelpful and to be honest rude staff, we left feeling deflated and upset.
We then noticed Classic Kitchens and went into talk to them, it was like chalk and cheese, these people were so helpful and had a great "can do" attitude, after getting a quote which was very similar to the original company we opted to go with Classic Kitchens, and actually got our kitchen before the original date we had booked with the other company! So happy we found them.

I am a bit of a serial house mover, and so far me and my family have had 5 kitchens from Classic Kitchens. Every time the service and quality of the kitchen just seems to get better. This is our second handmade kitchen, first one from a competitor, and the latest from CKD and we are so pleased we went with them, we were happy enough with the one from one of their competitors, but now we have seen and used both there really is no contest. We needed some urgent renovations in our kitchen, but the ongoing pandemic situation was refraining us from finding any kitchen planners and designers still able to do this for us. Finally, my wife found Classic Kitchens Direct. We contacted them that very day, and they prepared amazing plans for us the same day, which was astounding, we then arranged facetime calls to see the product before we made a decision, and were very impressed.

We saw a kitchen a friend had from one of their competitors, whilst we loved the look of the kitchen, they suggested we look at Classic Kitchens instead which offer similar cabinets, but can also finish it for you, they said if they had known how much work was involved, they would have used them too. Our friends had to oil the insides of the cabinets, prime the outside and then hand paint the outside, this took them about 2 months to complete and a lot of late nights.
Our kitchen from Classic Kitchens Direct arrived fully finished inside& out, and the quality is stunning, it was installed and we could use it straight away. We love it and everyone who sees it loves it. I really can’t recommend them enough.

I needed a new kitchen as part of a house extension, and wanted something above the usual mass market kitchen suppliers. I looked at a couple of central London showrooms, but the cost / value ratio didn't match. After some long nights searching the internet, I discovered Classic Kitchens Direct (CKD). I sent off my plans to Alan, and over a few weeks (and a showroom visit) we tweaked the design to meet my (slightly) demanding specification and budget.
Throughout the process, CKD were incredibly helpful, and gave valuable suggestions along they way. I supplied my own measurements. I asked for a couple of bespoke items which they were more than happy to accommodate - another differentiator where similar competitors were not so obliging. The kitchen itself is fantastic - I genuinely could not be happier.
The quality of the units and workmanship is outstanding - and the little touches I asked for have greatly enhanced the overall feel. The installation process had a couple of small issues, but these were sorted quickly and the units were installed on time and exactly as expected. We decided to go for primed, and the decorators had no issue finishing off the units with the colour / paint we wanted. All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending CKD, and have already done so to friends and family.

Absolutely delighted with both the product and service. The cabinets are superb quality and built exceptionally well. The showroom consultant, who was immensely helpful, went through an number of kitchen layout ideas with us and made suggestions as to style and finish that would complement our home. We also needed some bespoke cabinetry made which was not a problem at all.
Delivery went smoothly and the cabinets look and fit superbly in our kitchen. We had looked at "off-the-shelf" kitchens by big name companies but the quality was no match compared to CKD. You obviously pay more for solid wood and hand-made but you get a premium product for your money, so it's actually much better value for money than the big high street brands. Really could not be more pleased.
