Bye Design

We used this firm five years ago and parts of the bathroom they installed now needs to be replaced, the shower grout has blackened (and did so after about 3 months), the sink unit has also rotted and collapsed. I now need to find another firm to come out and fix it as the warranty expired after two years.

An amazing customer service with the most varied collection in a relative small area. They offered much lower prices than Cambridge worktops. Would highly recommend.

Possibly the best place to buy a contemporary / German Kitchen in Cambridgeshire! Excellent service, very customer friendly, and not a hint of pushy sales tactics. Where others quickly sought to arrange a visit, get a feel for our budget, or draw us into lengthy discussions about their amazing prices 'this week only', ByDesign in Cambridge took a refreshingly understated, almost opposite, approach.

This really drew us to them. In particular we liked their listening ear, their patience while we considered options and, their ability to give guidance (not opinions) when asked. Mark and his team genuinely did a great job of helping create what's become a 'dream kitchen' for us. They helped us define where to invest (nice under-unit lights) and where to make concessions (worktop finish) to accommodate our very modest budget. Their after-sales support has also been superb. We can't fault them and would highly recommend!

By design provided a design for our utility area quickly and the parts were ordered. When they arrived, small oversights in the dimensions of the room meant that a cupboard needed to be adjusted and fitted with new hinges. A fitter came round the very next day, even though we had the units on supply only. He made the necessary alterations, and now it looks great.

We just wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone at By Design for providing such a beautiful bathroom last year (cheers Mark) and more recently our new kitchen - Sam, you managed our project from start to finish with 'attention to every detail' and never allowed us to worry about a thing! And the cheerful Ray, fitting everything (again with attention to every little detail) - we are so happy.

Finally and just as important to us, we are very impressed with the lengths you have gone to, ensuring anything which was not perfect was replaced! You cannot buy that type of service so thanks again! Jenny & John - Cambridge.

Amazing work in a very small space. Somehow I actually have more storage space in my kitchen than I did before, and there was no quibbling about the inevitable snagging. Heartily recommended!

By Design (Cambridge) Ltd have just finished a re-furbishment of my kitchen and, as was the case in the 2 bathrooms they've already done, I can't praise them enough. The quality of work, the friendliness of their staff and their innovative ideas are second to none. I particularly applaud their desire to re-use/re-cycle existing features rather than forcing unnecessary expenditure and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Extremely hostile management - had a very unpleasant encounter with the director of this company. Avoid if you expect professionalism and courtesy as a consumer.

Ordered our cupboard quickly and arrived in the store within a week. Then took them more then 2 months to arrange the fitter as they had agreed. Once fitted we realised it had the wrong hinges and after many emails and several months still not fixed. In the end we got the hinges fixed ourselves by going to the manufacturer direct. Perhaps they are better when you order a whole kitchen rather than just one cupboard?
