Kedleston Interiors

I recently visited Kedleston Interiors with a view to remodelling my bathroom. Upon my initial visit, I was informed by the female half of the partnership that I would be looking at between 10k and 15k for their company to undertake my project. Subsequently, I revisited them and informed them that my budget was 10k to 12k but that marble tiles and a solid wooden floor were my essential requirements.

A few days later, the male half of the partnership, Charlie, visited my home to look at the job. He said that because I wanted Carrara ('you want Carrara, don't yer, or at least some' were his exact words) that I'd be 'looking at closer to 15k'. My bathroom is large and I therefore agreed to an absolute maximum of 15,000. A couple of days later I rang him to reiterate that I did not want anything faux to which he responded 'you're having Carrara, aren't yer'; 'yes', I responded.

When I visited the showroom last Saturday to look at the 'plans', Charlie pointed to a tile sample saying 'there's your Carrara'. I could see immediately that it was a much cheaper 'marble effect' porcelain. Presumably realising that I had 'caught him out', he then moved onto a 'hard sell' tactic, talking at length about the pros of porcelain and ceramic (basically, ceramic/porcelain are far easier and thus cost-effective to install.

By that time, I'd made my mind up that I would not be setting foot in their showroom again - I wouldn't trust them to revamp my small cloakroom. In sum, , this was an attempted rip-off. I've given them a rating of 1 star for their coffee.

We bought our beautiful kitchen and new appliances four years ago. The design and attention to our wishes and needs at that time were first class. However, this is not the only reason why I write now, as I wish to extol the fantastic after sales service. During this last four years a few issues have arisen with the manufacturer's units and appliances.

Each time we have needed help Charlie and his team have taken responsibility and efficiently rectified them at no cost to ourselves. The latest situation, this week, has been no exception and has culminated in the warranty of our appliance being further extended and the service fees we had paid being returned from the manufacture. We have no hesitation in our public recommendation of doing business with Kedleston Interiors.

We're over the moon with our kitchen. From the very first appointment to any aftercare, Nicola, Jill, Charlie and Matt and the whole team have been absolutely fantastic. We worked closely with Nicola to get the exact design we were looking for and we couldn't be happier with the way it has turned out. The space has been completely transformed! Couldn't recommend them enough, great family company who really care about their customers and the end product.

1st class from start to finish. Charlie, Jill and Mat make a great team. Fantastic design, good communication and excellent fitting. Nothing is too much trouble. It's all about the detail when you make an investment in a new kitchen and the team at Kedleston pay a lot of attention to the detail throughout the process from design to planning and installation. This was my second kitchen I have had from Kedleston Interiors and both were excellent.

With a full house renovation in progress, this was an area that i didn't need to worry about-we are thrilled with our hand painted bespoke kitchen from Kedleston Interiors. Always happy to help with any concerns that we had and the job was handled with professionalism from start to finish and beyond! Have recommended them to friends that are in the market for kitchens and bathrooms. Highly recommended.

Wanting to replace our bathroom, we returned to Kedleston Interiors, and were not at all disappointed. Charlie's design ideas were more contemporary than those offered elsewhere and the finished result is fantastic. We had our kitchen and utility room designed and fitted by Kedleston Interiors. They project managed the building work, all services, design and fitting. Fantastic high quality build and on time despite issues with the floor foundations that we didn't know about until the work had started.
