Popped in here to ask for some guidance on worktops. A lady called Janaya was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. Scott and the team at Applewood Kitchens have been absolutely amazing from start to finish. I am known to be 'fussy' but it is because I know exactly what I want. something that Applewood knew too because they have delivered exactly what they promised, which is an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful kitchen. I cannot stop looking at it. You have made a lady very happy and I would not hesitate to recommed you. Thank you all.

Am I the one who slipped through the net? I don't know. The level of service they deliver falls a long way short of their promises and the letters of recommendation they so proudly display. I hate writing reviews like this but having given this company every opportunity to help me I'm still left with a sour taste. Initial signs were first-rate and their designer Ian could not have been more helpful.
After this however they under-quoted on plastering and rather than raise this at the time left a sub-standard finish I was left to address myself. They replaced a damaged door with another damaged door (ultimately taking several weeks to replace a 2nd time). They left a large gap between one worktop and the wall (only repaired at my request). They removed fittings for my outside tap, left the plumbing dangling, and told me I'll have to sort it myself. Are these colossal issues? No, they're not.
The deeper issue is that they continually push and sell an attitude to their workmanship and customer service that they don't deliver. We were assured regular checks during installation by senior staff members that did not happen. The Applewood idea is not the Applewood reality. Throughout the sales process we were repeatedly ensured a level of service and attention to detail surpassing their competition.
Multiple staff members shared anecdotes with us of their going above and beyond, without customer intervention. It was for these reasons we paid their price without quibble and turned away quotes received elsewhere. We will ultimately be happy with our new kitchen (through addressing shortcomings ourselves) but my experience suggests that Applewood don't offer a particular advantage over other installers.
If using this company tread carefully and ensure that everything offered is in writing. Edited to add - it's strange how after receiving a couple of less-than-stellar reviews recently a number of brand new reviews appear in very quick succession whose only contributions each are to BOTH of Applewood's branches. Amazing how so many people who've never written a Google review before feel the needs not only to do so with remarkably convenient timing but also buy TWO kitchens from different branches of the same company. Uncanny!

Hi Scott Just a note to thank you and your team for such a professional job on the design and fitting of our new kitchen. Having been to see a number of other suppliers, we felt that your design captured our requirements perfectly, with both the ergonomics and the "look and feel" exactly what we were looking for. The implementation went according to schedule and we were kept up to date all the way through the process by both the fitter, surveyor and the Applewood office staff. Level of service fell below expectations - Fitters were excellent, however the plan they worked to was mis-aligned (evident by the Hob, fitted outside of manufacturers recommendations). Applewood refused to correct this without charge to us, stating "I should have noticed when the kitchen was being fitted", but I paid them to be the experts, and that's what their own contract said.
My saving grace was I paid the deposit on my credit card - and initiated a charge back, (my credit card company processed this in one day based on my evidence) - only then did they agree to fix it at their cost. No compensation for the 2+ months of stress, delays to the decor and flooring we incurred as a result, not even a post fix visit to check everything was OK.
Basically a very poor customer service experience - when you pay for a premium experience you expect better - and on that basis I cannot recommend your service. Another tip for you Applewood - If I brought a new car. the dealer would spend time showing me the controls - this kitchen was the price of a decent new car. it would have been nice to have a little time explaining the details of some of the white goods you fitted.

After several months of speaking with various kitchen companies we were eventually recommended Applewood Kitchens by a colleague and they were simply brilliant from start to finish. I had in mind the exact kitchen I wanted and they were able to translate that into a visual design then into the reality. We are over the moon with our new kitchen and cannot thank Scott and the team enough for all their hardwork, help and support through the design and build. I would 100% recommend this company.
